In fact, Message Alerts offers the same functionality that Rules Wizard offers in MS Outlook! Do you ever wish you could cut through the fluff and read the messages that really matter? You don't have time to sift through inconsequential email. That's why Message Alerts allows you to define filters for incoming email and SMS messages. These filters will control your mailbox and alert you to the most important messages. Message Alerts runs in the background and automatically launches with the BlackBerry operating system. You can control when the rules/alerts are active. Define email rules. Define email rules based on Subject, From, To, CC or message content fields. Create rules through the context menus in the Inbox and Address Book applications. And create rules for forwarding, deleting or marking emails as read. From the "Create Email Alert" menu, you can launch the rule definition screen. Selecting “From” on this screen will automatically populate the “From” field of your emails. Choose from a variety of alert options. Choose from continuous alerts, customized audio and vibrate notifications and a pop-up dialog notification. Retrieve entire emails (or up to a certain number of kilobytes).
