Overview

Would you like to keep photos of your friends, loved ones or vacations on your BlackBerry? Now you can!

Ascendo Photo allows you to select, reposition and resize Photos on your PC and then transfer them to your BlackBerry using your data synchronization cable.

Once transferred, Ascendo Photo allows you to view photos, organize them into Galleries, display them as Slide Shows, set them as Screen Savers or Background images and a whole lot more.

Ascendo Photo Desktop

  • Ascendo Photo Desktop allows you to find and select photos that you have stored on your PC in popular image formats such as JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG, etc.
  • When you connect to your BlackBerry, Ascendo Photo Desktop detects the screen size and adjusts the size of the screen emulator accordingly.
  • Upon selection, the image will be displayed in the BlackBerry screen emulator as it will appear when it is loaded onto your BlackBerry.
  • Use the [Magnifying Glass +] and [Magnifying Glass -] buttons to zoom in or out.
  • Select [Image Size] button to enter the exact pixel size of one dimension of your image. Photo Desktop calculates the other dimension in order to maintain the proportions of your image.
  • Use the slider bars to pan image from left to right or from top to bottom.
  • Alternatively, you can position the cursor over the picture and use the hand icon to move the photo in the emulator screen.
  • When you are satisfied with the result, press the [Transfer] button to send the image to your BlackBerry.
  • Your photo will appear on your BlackBerry in full screen mode. Use the track wheel to display menu options or move back and forth between photos.
  • The [Mailbox] button allows you to send an image to your BlackBerry email. You can use this feature with with the BlackBerry Photo Album to set photos as Background images.

  • Add, Edit or Delete multiple Photo Galleries.
  • Edit Gallery names and choose from 39 icons to associate with a Gallery.
  • Select Slideshow option to display full screen images one after another.
  • Move image from one Gallery to another.

  • Set "Slide Show Delay Time" or number of seconds between image changes.
  • Set the "Wait before activating Screen Saver" delay from 1 to 20 minutes depending on how long you want your device to wait before initializing a Screen Saver. You can Disable Screen Saver as well.
  • Select "Transitioning Effect" to horizontal, vertical or squares.
  • Choose "Stand by after:" to stop Slideshow after a user defined time interval.
  • Set "Style" graphics on top and bottom of screen to one of 5 different options.

  • From within a Gallery you can "View" full screen Photo displays.
  • Use the track wheel to move back and forth between full screen images.
  • Select Properties from Gallery menu to see size of an image or to edit the Name and Description.
  • Select "Move Up" or "Move Down" to change position of image in the Gallery or in the Slide Show rotation.
  • Select "Side Show" to display images from the active directory.
  • Delete images one at a time or "Delete All" images from a Gallery.
