Like Windows Explorer, Resco Explorer is an enhanced file manager. On Resco Explorer, you'll find tools that are typically scattered across various applications.

Graphic User Interface: One of the best features of Resco Explorer is its customizability. You can choose the classic Palm launcher look and feel, typical Windows Explorer style or something in-between. Set up vertical/horizontal layouts, fonts, columns, etc.

File Manager: The File Manager is the heart of Resco Explorer. Stable and efficient, it provides an easy way to copy, move, delete and rename files. Enhanced functions include drag and drop, copy and paste, multi-selection, RAM/card conversions, powerful sorting, searching and filtering.

Launcher: Use Resco Explorer as a classic launcher.

Launcher Extras: Start applications stored in RAM, on the card or even in the zip archives. By tapping on a suitable file, you can launch the associated application. An editor of file associations also is available.

Control Panel: Integrates more enhanced features, such as editors of preferences, file associations, alarms and additional system information.

Backup: People often think of backup when it is too late... Resco Explorer backup offers a functionality similar to competing packages, but it works faster and uses less card space. Resco Explorer's backup verification (since version 2.42) allows you to reliably test backup results. You can decide whether to trust the backup set without complicated testing.

Zipper: Zipper offers the cheapest way to save significant amounts of storage space. The used algorithm is PC-compatible, so you can extract archives created on a Desktop PC and vice-versa. Zipper is transparently integrated into Resco Explorer. You can perceive a zip archive as another folder and manipulate its contents, view compressed images, launch compressed applications, etc. Zipper also offers password-based encryption.

Built-in Image Viewer: This simple but fast viewer provides full-screen image previews. Displays jpg/bmp/gif images and images produced by Clie and Zire cameras. Enables direct image preview from the zip archives. Alternatively, you can employ external viewers.

Hex Viewer: Enables preview of the selected file in different modes: image, hex, text and database. Database mode also allows you to delete individual records. Text mode offers full editing capabilities.

Working with txt files: Txt files provide the easiest way to share information with the non-Palm world. Beam, hotsync, create and finally edit text files with the built-in memo pad or hex editor.
